DENTAL OFFICE SAFETY PROTOCOL – PEMBROKE PINES, FL

Our Commitment to Safety

We recognize times have changed. Priorities have shifted. Today, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our staff and patients.

With this in mind, we are happy to share the 12 additional steps we are taking to make every visit to our office as safe as possible. These actions are incremental to our normal standards of care that meet or exceed all CDC, OSHA and ADA guidelines for dental practices.

Our goal is to add peace-of-mind to the friendliness and clinical excellence you have come to expect. Of course, this is part of an on-going commitment that will evolve with the times. As always, we welcome the opportunity to answer any of your questions and to address all concerns.

We are in this together, and we will never underestimate the power of a smile!

Advanced Staff Training

All of the patients will be escorted directly to the operatory upon arrival and will wash their hands in addition to health screening and temperature check. Following treatment, they will wash their hands again, put on their mask and leave the office.

Safety Champion

We are only allowing one patient into our office at a time. Siblings of the patient will not be allowed in the office unless they have an appointment as well.

Daily Health Checks of Our Team

We will be taking everyone’s temperature upon arrival using an infrared thermometer

No Office Tours

We ensure to do everything in the same room to minimize movement. This also includes treatment plans, medical history updates, including any other paperwork. We will also be checking out patients one at a time.

Personal Hygiene Standards

We sanitize all surfaces multiple times a day with hospital grade disinfectant. We also sanitize every operatory between patients.

Virtual Waiting Room

Patients will remain in their car until their scheduled appointment times and should call the office when they arrive so we can let them know when to step foot into the office.

Pre-Screening of Every Patient

We will be taking staff and patients temperatures using a no touch thermometer daily

Hospital-Grade Hand Sanitizing Station

All patients will rinse with antiseptic mouth wash prior to all procedures in addition to sanitizing hands.

Social Distancing in Place

We will be closing down our waiting area to avoid having anyone sitting together. We know many of you have concerns about this as our waiting area is usually busy and contains reading materials that are shared by our patients. Patients will be taken to the back into the operatories upon arrival. We have also changed our scheduling to decrease the traffic and avoid crowding in our office.

N95 & ASTM Level 3 Masks

All staff members will be wearing protective eyewear and KN95 masks AT ALL TIMES!

Front Desk Masks

You must come into our office with a mask or face covering to comply with the governor’s recommendations to help minimize the risk to you and our staff.

Installed Clear Barriers

I will be installing plexiglass at the front desk to shield patients and front office staff.
